Classy Classics: Beatles on the Beat

by John Christopher Datiles

For most people, they’ll think strange about the band Beatles; sounds bugs and the like. Talking about the name, why did they come up with this one? How did they arrive at this one? That’s a sure question to answer. Some of you may not recognize them but some may even a bit.

Man on the Flaming Pie

Have you ever read or skimmed this story about them? The hilarious joke of John Lennon on a piece article in Mersey Beat as Paul had cleared of. Well, the story goes like this.

It came in a vision – a man appeared on a Flaming Pie and said unto them ‘From this day on you are Beatles with an A’. ‘Thank you Mister Man,’ they said, thanking him.” (On the Dubious Origins of Beatles, Bill Harry)

Stardom Momentum – Beatlemania

When did they ultimately reach the spotlight? The momentum of their musical journey started.
Their musical career hit the mark when they had their guesting at Ed Sullivan’s popular CBS network  variety show  in the first quarter of 1964 which at that time they had two no. 1 albums in the UK in the previous year, that convinced Capitol Records to sign The Beatles to a US record deal. April that same year, band’s singles occupied the top 5 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. From then on, Beatles flourished in the different parts of the world. Beatlemania never stops and you could check out some memories of your favorite albums of them on their official website at www.beatles .com. Relive the days, return to that time and enjoy!
