The Innovating Total University that is aimed at honing minds through pure academic excellence and co-curricular achievements
As the part of this academe, I offer the song, 'I Believe'. Polytechnic University of the Philippines couldn't soar high up until to 109th degree or times if it weren't for the people who truly believes in the core principles they uphold and the heart for providing a global quality education without sacrificing so much cost. Education is for all, they believe and thus, the commitment is theirs, and having produced brilliant graduates, the pride is ours.

Don't be scared to fly alone,

Find a path that is your own
Love will open every door
It's in your hands
The world is yours
Don't hold back and always know
All the answers will unfold
What are you waiting for
Spread your wings and soar.

What a journey it has been

And the end is not in sight
But the stars are out tonight
And they're bound to guide my way
When they're shining on my life
I can see a better day
I won't let the darkness in
What a journey it has been.

I would like to dedicate this song to my school, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines that will celebrate its 109th anniversary this October. My college life has been a long 'sometimes smooth, sometimes rocky' journey. This is the time of my life where I experienced a lot of overwhelming stuffs.

Overwhelming projects, reports, professors..even overwhelming grades. *Suddenly remembers my Algebra subject* Let's just skip that please. Add overwhelming FRIENDS and REALLY HAPPY MOMENTS.

Classy Classics: Beatles on the Beat

by John Christopher Datiles

For most people, they’ll think strange about the band Beatles; sounds bugs and the like. Talking about the name, why did they come up with this one? How did they arrive at this one? That’s a sure question to answer. Some of you may not recognize them but some may even a bit.

Man on the Flaming Pie

Have you ever read or skimmed this story about them? The hilarious joke of John Lennon on a piece article in Mersey Beat as Paul had cleared of. Well, the story goes like this.

It came in a vision – a man appeared on a Flaming Pie and said unto them ‘From this day on you are Beatles with an A’. ‘Thank you Mister Man,’ they said, thanking him.” (On the Dubious Origins of Beatles, Bill Harry)

Stardom Momentum – Beatlemania

When did they ultimately reach the spotlight? The momentum of their musical journey started.
Their musical career hit the mark when they had their guesting at Ed Sullivan’s popular CBS network  variety show  in the first quarter of 1964 which at that time they had two no. 1 albums in the UK in the previous year, that convinced Capitol Records to sign The Beatles to a US record deal. April that same year, band’s singles occupied the top 5 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. From then on, Beatles flourished in the different parts of the world. Beatlemania never stops and you could check out some memories of your favorite albums of them on their official website at www.beatles .com. Relive the days, return to that time and enjoy!

You're the Inspiration Chicago

Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. The self-described "rock and roll band with horns" began as a politically charged, sometimes experimental, rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound, generating several hit ballads. The group had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Second only to The Beach Boys in Billboard singles and albums chart success among American bands, Chicago is one of the longest-running and most successful rock groups in history.

The 1970s: 'Chicago'
The band released a second album, titled Chicago (also known as Chicago II), which was another double-LP. The album's centerpiece track was a seven-part, 13-minute suite composed by Pankow called "Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon.

The 1980s: Changing Sound, and the Ballads
Chicago XIV (1980), produced by Tom Dowd, relegated the horn section to the background on a number of tracks, and the album's two singles failed to make the Top 40.

You're the meaning in my life
You're the inspiration
You bring feeling to my life
You're the inspiration
want to have you near me
I want to have you hear me sayin'
No one needs you more than I need you

You're the Inspiration (Chicago 17) was arranged by Peter Cetera and David Foster. It's a beautiful evergreen song that has stood the test of time and remains #1 to many Chicago fans, such as myself. "You're the meaning in my life. You're the inspiration. You bring feeling to my life. You're the inspiration."

She Won't Stop

Music can be a love thing, sometimes urges your passion, amuses your fascination, delights your imagination, but it sometimes, strikes our emotions, especially when subjects of religion, culture, race, sex, drugs, conspiracy, bestiality is in between the lines.
"And we can't stop (whoa)
And we won't stop (whoa)
We run things, things don't run we
Don't take nothing from nobody yeah yeah"

Being the talk of the town, how could anybody hear nothing about the twerking lady, Miley Cyrus and her hit, “We Can’t Stop” which brought up several discussions in social media and positive reviews on the other side, though serious issues really poses it but they tend to lighten up the mood and not putting too much emphasis on it. Let it be, so be it.

Warm smell of Colitas

Eagles Hotel California Live at 1998 Hall of Fame Induction

"Hotel California" is the title song from the Eagles' album of the same name and was released as a single in February 1977. It is one of the best-known songs of the album-oriented rock era. Writing credits for the song are shared by Don Felder, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey.

Technically, and according to the writers of Hotel California, the song is made to describe the high life in Los Angeles, USA. However, there are interpretations that say that the song is about satan, hedonism, drugs, self-destruction, greed, wickedness and all.
One article says:
Whether you know "Hotel California" as "that weird Eagles song" or "that weird devil-worshiping song" probably depends on how religious your parents were.

“Bleed! Bitch Bleed!/ “Bleed! Bitch Bleed! Bleed!”

“Bleed! Bitch Bleed!/ “Bleed! Bitch Bleed! Bleed!”-Eminem slitting Kim’s throat while screaming.

This is a scenario from the song “Kim” by Eminem which is a murder fantasy, with Eminem kidnapping and murdering Kim Scott, the mother of his daughter Hailie.

Historically, Eminem is an American rapper who is entitled to be a genius lyricist gaining a lot of money from rapping. His song entitled Kim became controversial on his second album-The Marshal Mathers LP during 2000. It is indeed the most horrible song of Eminem."Kim" is a song that reflects extreme hatred towards Eminem's wife Kim Mathers. The fact that Eminem and Kimberly Anne Scott have had an on-and-off relationship, the couple had a very unstable affiliation- divorced in 2001, but reconciled and got back together in 2006. Eminem is violent throughout the entire song as he kills his wife.

"Don't you get it, bitch? No one can hear you?/ Now shut the fuck up and get what's comin' to you."

The song begins with Eminem talking to his daughter Hailie, who is sleeping.

“Aw look at daddy's baby gir/ That's daddy bab/ Little sleepy head/ Yesterday I changed your diaper/ Wiped you and powdered you."

Then Eminem starts to shout verbal abuse at Kim, which continues until the end of the song.

”Bullshit you bitch don't fucking lie to me/ What the fuck's this guy's problem on the side of me?/ Fuck you asshole, yeah bite me/ Kim, Kim!”
"Bleed, bitch! Bleed!".

9\11 Attacks: The Deadliest US Incident

Ever since he can remember people have died in his good name
Long before that September
Long before hijacking planes
He's lost the will he can't decide
He doesn't know who's right or wrong
But there's one thing that he's sure of this has been going on too long

The lyrics of the song “Him” by Lily Allen (2009) recognize the victims of the September 11 destruction because of the terrorist attacks initiate by religious rebel group al-Qaeda upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area on Tuesday, September 11, 2001.

Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning?

"You're Missing", Remembering 9/11

The tragedy that once horrendously shocked and shaken the world, became an anticipation of today’s struggle for a brand new start. Twelve years had passed but still lingering to others (specially to the survivors), are haunting melodies of the terrifying explosions, rumbling sharp tones of screams and cries of rushing people to and fro, deep horrifying sounds that go along with the smoke, how their lost of loved ones tore their hearts apart and left in the wilderness to witness the ravage. How suppose others can clearly recall that worse nightmare? Apparently, songs can tell and sing it for us.

"You're Missing", a memory not to be forgotten.
Hope be evoked.  Promise never to be broke. Shine into the new light, love that makes it right. Peace on earth.
